DIY: magnetic map board
Maybe this is what I should do with my Cyprus map!
(via projectjenny:EvaRose)
This is a quick and easy project that’s perfect for filling a large space. Bonus: it costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 total and only takes 20 minutes to make! Ahem, bachelors who need help decorating their apartment.
Step 1: buy a map (vintage, new, whatever) and a magnetic board, like this one from ikea ($13)
Step 2: using mod podge and a foam brush, affix the map to the board and use your fingertips to smooth the wrinkles.
Step 3: apply a thin coat of the mod podge over the entire map, wait for it to dry, and then repeat 2 or 3 times.
