One of my favorite things about coming back to California is getting my fill of Asian cakes, sweets, and baked goods. New York is a wonderland when it comes to cupcakes and macarons, but as general rule, its Chinese bakeries are offensively terrible.
After working at the Google Mountain View headquarters, on Thursday, I met up with Luan in Koreatown for a pork belly feast. Naturally, we stopped at Honeyberry across the street for butter roti buns. They aren’t exactly the most photogenic bun of all time, but fresh out of the oven, these things are heavenly. They’re just a little sweet with a crispy mocha top. If you’re ever in the area - make a stop.
