I had brought a sparkly black and gold dress Milly dress for NYE, but as we discovered earlier in the week at Frangipani bar - our group attracts a little too much attention as it is.  Instead, we left our sequined dresses hanging up and opted for comfy casual: I went with this bright DVF dress and the girls inadvertently matched in patterned red and orange. Try as we might to find an excuse to wear our heels and wedges this trip, no occasion called for them in the least. We all slipped on sandals before heading out, which we were thankful for later as we kicked them off into the sand while partying in the streets.  Now I have to find a reason to wear my planned NYE dress. It might just have to wait for one of next year’s holiday parties (major #firstworldproblems - I know).
